Police arrest 25 lawbreakers

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 25 lawbreakers including two gamblers and recovered one kilogram heroin, 580 grams charras, 53 bottles of liquor, seven pistols 30 bore with 8025 rounds and three 7 mm rifles, two daggers and one stolen motorcycle.

According to Police spokesman, Airport police recovered one kg heroin from the possession Shahzia while Saddar Wah police arrested an accused identified as Fahim on recovery of three pistols 30 bore with 8000 rounds.Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off Pirwadhai police conducted a raid at a gambling den at Pirwadhai Bus Stand and arrested two gamblers namely Altaf and Nazir for involving in ‘Parchi’ gambling. Police also recovered Rs 2200 stake money and other items from their custody. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway. – PT
